After reading this book, I learned a lot about enjoying life and how a break in your head and a break in your life can change a person's life, and also how to get back up again. In the book, after Elizabeth Gilbert got divorced, she tried to live a new life again, and then she met the boy, David, but they didn't work out, and then she found out that all these is actually not the life that she wants. Then she decide to leave behind all the things that she have already, all the modern American success, instead, what she really wanted from life is a discovery of different places with different culture, so she went on a trip to travel three countries. She went to Italy, India, and Bali, to enjoy life in different cultures, she went to Italy to enjoy life, India to devote, and Bali to find Ketut, the meditator who told her to come back when she went for writing. After all the trips and discovering, she found what she truly want from the beginning, what to devote, and the man, it's life, it's the life that she loves to live for. I really really enjoy reading this book, this book actually made me think of what life really matters to me, for now, I'm just a student all I could do is studied, but who says I can't dream about what I want to do for my life afterwards. After reading this book, I actually think a lot about what I want to do with my life, but then, I figure out that the life that I really want to live for is to be happy and enjoy my life in my own way, no matter what that would be. This book is really good, I recommend it to you, I really think that you should read it, it's a great book, and it also help you think what you really want your life to be like, you want your life now? because it makes you happy and you're satisfied with it, or you want a better life that you would enjoy and not regret when you're old? Just read this book, you would really enjoy reading it, there is also a movie of this book too, you'll probably like it too.Over 8 years agotiffanyl has read this book.

I really enjoy this novel a lot, the main reason is that I like the way that the author writes this book and the techniques he uses to make me get more and more interesting into it and make me wanna read more and more as I go on. This novel is talking about an ordinary human and a vampire's love story, Bella, the human, moved to the gloomy town and meet Edward, the vampire, while studying in school. Edward couldn't look at Bella as a human, he could only see her as meal because Bella is very different to the vampire, her skin and everything just make her really tasty to the vampire. Even though the vampires can control themselves, but when they see Bella, they just can't control themselves, just because that Bella is that special, so Edwards want to protect her, but also want to eat her. After Bella knows Edwards' secret, she determined to uncover his dark secret. Then Bella fell in love with Edwards, and so did Edwards, but as Bellas get closer to Edwards, the more she is putting herself and those around her at risks. But it is too late for them both to turn back even though they want to, because they love each other a lot, and all they both want to do is to protect each other from harm and to also discover each other more. I really really enjoy this book, I would recommend people to read this novel, and I'm also excited for the next series.Over 8 years agomegank's book review was featured in We Want You to Know: Kids Talk About Bullying.
We Want You to Know: Kids Talk About Bullying by Deborah Ellis is a collection of kids talking about their experiences with bullying. The author interviews more than 40 kids about their own bullying story; every story is real and describes their story of how they were before the bullying started, what happened, and how they picked up the pieces to be happy again. I really like how the author orgnaizes the book into 5 parts based on why each kid is bullied because it fully answers a question every victim wonders: Why are they chosen by the bullies to be teased and threatened? I would definitly recommend this book to teens because everyone should know that teasing and bullying others is unacceptable. Also, I love this book because I've been bullied before and this book really delivers the message that we are not alone. There are other people out there that are suffering the same thing at school; therefore, don't feel alone or be afraid to stand up for yourself or your peers. Always remember to be unique and most importantly, be happy.Over 8 years agomegank added a book review.

I learned a lot about different perspectives from this book, and I also learned that in order to understand a controversy, you will have to consider every point of view and not just stick to your own opinion. Some of the authors in the book state that women often earn a lot lesser than men, and also mention the fact that women often have to take care of sick family members as well. After reading several different opinions on this, I think that women do deserve the right to determine whether they want to start a family, or focus on their career first. They also talk about how women deserve more job opportunities in the workplace, and how males need to grow up and take up the job of caring for the children as well. However, they don't really get around to explaining how this new system can possibly solve the problem of gender inequality or how it is any better than the traditional patriarchal family. After finishing this book, I finally have a greater appreciation of how every gender needs the other, and how each gender should have both equal rights and respect.Over 8 years agoangelay added a book review.
