This book is a good book if you love outdoor adventurers. Hatchet had a lot of elaboration and creativity which made it a lot more interesting in my opinion. In a good book you need good elaboration because if you don't the readers wont want to read the book Hatchet had a lot of that. Brians mom helped a lot in this story . She gave him the hatchet which helped him kill animals to eat . She also, Kept a huge secret which Brians dad doesn't know about , this affected brian in the story because he has to be the one to tell him why she called the divorce. SPOILER: My favorite part of the story was when Brian found the survival bag . This was my favorite part of the story because he actually had real food .This made it a lot easier for him because he didn't have to fish anymore.

In my opinion this book was very interesting and it is an attention grabber. It shows a lot of enthusiasm and excitement that pulls you into the book. Especially at the part where Brian finds something that is life changing for him. It is also very interesting because it kinda shows real world problems that could help your life, if you are ever stranded in a forest. This book was also very intense because you are eager to see what happens next. It even has a little drama about what happened between the parents. I also think his mother is very rude and dishonest about lying to her family. Overall this book was very good and I liked it a lot. I recommend you read it.

The book “Hatchet” is really good! The only reason I would rate it a 4 star is because toward the middle of the story, it got a little boring. Some chapters were just about him getting food or searching in the forest. Besides this, the book was great and had a lot of cliff hangers at the end of chapters and you wouldn't know what would happen next. For example, I thought the book was going to be about friendship of a wolf and a boy but it was completely different. SPOILERS!! My favorite part was the end because it made me happy that he got rescued. Gary Paulsen made a great story and I would recommend it to everyone! Most books I dislike but this one was just over the top and I would definitely read it again! This book is appealing to just about every age and both boys and girls would think this book is magnificent! Brian Robeson was a strong character and I think he was a great role for the story and I wouldn't pick anyone else. All the events that happened in the book just made it 10 times better! If you are searching for a book to read, I would definitely recommend trying Hatchet!

If you ask me, the book hatchet was amazing; it was full of excitement. I recommend this book to everyone. In my opinion, Brian was very brave during his ordeal. He stayed focused as superb as he could and he tried his best to stay positive. Even though his parents are divorced and he knows the “secret”, he did not let his home problems interfere with him surviving. SPOILER: My favorite part was when Brian was rammed by a moose. Even though he was in pain, he did not freak out, instead he stayed focus on what was happening.
