The review you wrote was interesting and long, and it did make sense. But what I feel is wrong is that the Zika Virus can be used as an excuse by Donald Trump to block off all passengers of not only Mexico, but also Muslims. Donald Trump has a weird dislike to Muslims and that is why half of the world hates him. He himself has said that he wants to remove or throw out all the Muslims that live in the US. That is sheer cruelty and something Americans wouldn't want in their president. I am not an American but I know how cruel Donald Trump is, and I advice the US to vote for someone who makes more sense. Everyone is either saying that he is bad, but you are saying that he's good and might ' turn out using peaceful words' but do you know what a threat he is to Islam? You should look at Trump through the religious point of view before you go on saying good things about him. Read more and watch more about why people dislike him. We are not zombies to hate him for no reason. If we hate him, that means we have a reason. From US, not from US, people still don't see why he has a bad image in everyone's life. Be wise when you vote, or you will DEFINITELY REGRET IT. Anyway, well written:) -AmpooAlmost 9 years agoampa123 replied to a comment in
I think you are definitely right. Authors should write more books like this! Books and movies like Wonder are touching and teach us all a big lesson: Never judge anyone by their appearance, because from the inside, you never no how beautiful their personality can be. Well said, Kimbo! -Ampoo ;)Almost 9 years agoampa123liked a comment in The Julian Chapter: A Wonder Story.
I remember that when I first read Wonder, I had WONDERED what the story would be like from Julian's perspective. I gave this book two stars because it was almost exactly the same as Wonder. I was curious to know what Julian had to say, but I feel like R.J. Polacio only wrote it because readers wanted to hear from Julian's point of view. I think the story would have been better if it was in Wonder, and not in a seperate book. Please know that I'm not saying Wonder was a bad book. I read Wonder at least five times, I loved it so much. But I don't think that it was necessary for R.J. Polacio to write this one. 365 Days of Wonder was a good book because it had a lot of prefects, and it went with the story, but not too much like in the Julian chapter. Anyhow, this is what the Julian Chapter is about. The Julian Chapter is basically Wonder from Julian's perspective. If you don't remember from Wonder, is the bully who gets punched by Jack Will. In the book, I feel like R.J. Polacio skipped some moments that were written in Wonder which I would have loved to read about from Julian's chapter. And although she tells why Julian wouldn't come back to Beecher Prep, I feel like instead at the end she should have made Julian decide to go back to Beecher and try again the next year. And have a big reason to. I was very dissapointed with the book. After reading Wonder I thought The Julian Chapter would have been better than what I read. Sorry for the super LOOOOOOOONG review! Thanks for reading.Almost 9 years agoampa123liked a comment in The Julian Chapter: A Wonder Story.
If you've read Wonder you have to read The Julian Chapter. R.j. Palacio's The Julian Chapter picks up where Wonder left off. It answers some of the question I was left with . Finally I got to learn Julian's side of the story. Julian is both the antagonist and the protagonist in this story because he fights with himself whether to say sorry to Auggie. Julian learns that his parents were forcing him to change schools. He spends the summer in France with his grandmother. While he was in France he learns from his grandmother were his name came from. As he learns about his name Julian changes. When he goes back to the U.S. he knows he has to do something important. Will Julian do the right thing? I liked this book because I got to learn more about Julian.Almost 9 years agoampa123 added a news bookmark.
