Since the moon is covered in craters from where meteoroids hit it, I'm guessing it got dislodged during an impact and ended up here.Over 4 years agofrigid01 added a new comment in

I very much so agree. Also, if the only known moon rock (of the area) is in government hands, then there's an easy way to tell if someone is scamming another person if they claim to be selling a moon rock.Over 4 years agofrigid01liked a comment in A Massive Chunk Of The Moon Just Came Up For Sale!.
I did some research and found that it was at a place called Christie's Auction House, and more specifically, the London location.Over 4 years agofrigid01 added a new comment in
This article is interesting because in the US, owning or selling moon rocks is illegal. In 2002 two people broke into the Johnson Space Center and if I can remember correctly, stole 100 pounds of moon rocks, and the FBI set up a fake trade to lure the culprits. They arrested them at the "buy" location. It is very interesting that it's legal to sell them in Britain.Over 4 years agofrigid01 added a new comment in
This article is very interesting to me for a reason other than the price. In the USA, moon rocks are illegal to own or sell, yet in the UK (more specifically Britain) you can? Fascinating. I'm surprised it is legal due to the fact in 2002, two people broke into the Johnson Space Center and stole, if I can remember correctly, 100 pounds of moon rocks which they tried to sell online to undercover FBI agents. Then the culprits got arrested when the FBI met them at the location in which the transaction would be made. Long story short, I'm intrigued by the difference in laws.Over 4 years agofrigid01 replied to a comment in
