This book was beautifully written, yet a bit eerie and depressing. It was so good that I've read it several times! I found this so touching and I even almost shed a tear. I heard about Universal Studios purchasing the film rights for this being made into a movie. Even though I don't think it'll come out anytime soon, I hope the film does it justice and is just as good as The Perks of Being A Wallflower (novel-to-book thing). If Logan Lerman isn't cast as Clay Jensen, then I will cry. But he'd legitimately be perfect for the part! In the film version I'd like for it to end with a more positive ending, and I want to see more of the Clannah (Clay-Hannah) interaction and more clearly depicted.Over 11 years agoemelysosa123456 has read this book.

I started reading this book because my friend was reading it. The story revolves around a high school aged girl named Hannah Baker who had committed suicide. Before she swallowed the handful of pills to end her life, though, she recorded her voice explaining the 13 reasons why she made the final decision to kill herself. But there was a catch--only the people who played a big role in the 13 reasons would hear them...unless one of the people were to not pass the tapes on. As long as the tapes were passed along, their secrets would stay within their small circle. I recommend it to anyone who likes suspense, though there are multiple parts that may be inappropriate for some readers.Over 11 years agoemelysosa123456liked a comment in Honesty Is Definitely The Best Policy.
