The Karate Kid (2010)

Twelve-year-old Dre Parker could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying but the cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make him an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is a kung fu master. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

I feel like I have been watching this movie for my whole life. It's so motivational and funny, and very relatable. Dre Parker only wants to go back to his original home in Detroit after experiencing his first bully's wrath in China. Instead, he ends up in training classes for karate with a kung fu master, Mr.Han. Hate for the new bully brings Dre to the master's teachings, and together they develop an…unusual relationship. At first, Dre has no idea what Mr.Han is doing. How could putting on and off a jacket teach him how to defeat the bully? Eventually, he understands the true keys to karate, serenity and maturity. Hilarious, epic and full of surprises, this movie will definitely bring thoughts to your mind.

This movie is a great family movie especially because it has funny humor, awesome Karate moves and all a movie really needs! This movie is about a boy and his mum move to China from Detroit. In his new school he gets bullied because he talked to a girl that was in his school too. He gets beaten up and later on is taught Karate by Mr. Hong (actor was Jackie Chan) This movie is great to watch! I could watch this movie over and over again.
