I've read the Percy Jackson books and I absolutely love them! I wanted to watch the movie because I thought it would be great, like the Harry Potter movies. However, When I watched the movie, I was disappointed at the lack of effort and incorrect storyline and casting. For example, Annabeth is meant to have curly blond hair and stormy grey eyes instead of straight brown hair and blue eyes. Also, how did Chiron know who Percy's father was? The whole movie plot was about Percy, Annabeth and Grover searching for the pearls whereas the book had the pearls as a gift to Percy. If I hadn't read the book I would've had no idea what was going on. My younger sister and my mum were totally confused so I had to narrate the whole story to them, which was difficult, considering everything was different. In other words, I hated the movie and I do not recommend it to anyone, especially Percy Jackson fans. The Percy Jackson movies are disgraceful and confusing.

Its different from the book but a great movie. Annabeth also has the wrong colour of hair than in the Percy Jackson books. However I recommend it to others.
